Weekend Report

The past weekend was a very busy weekend for our club on Saturday last our club men travelled to the Banner County for the Crotty Cup our riders who took part on the day were Brendan O’Sullivan and Edward Casey Mike and Tadhg O’Shea kindly came along in support on the day. The race was run on a handicap basis over the 6 laps of a 13.5km circuit the Killorglin lads rode well with Ed making numerous drives on the front. On the fourth lap the A3’s were caught by the A1’s and A2’s from there on the racing got really agressive. The lads finished strongly on day unfortunately outside of the placings but did very well.

On Sunday our newly upgraded A1 rider Michael O’Shea took part in the Shay Elliot one day Classic one of the most prestigious one day races in the country. The race covered a distance of 155km over tough terrain with high quality field tweaking their performances for the upcoming An Post Ras our own Killorglin man Micheal included who will be guest riding for the Nenagh team. Micheal did very well on the day and with a hard winter of endurance training put in we wish him the very best in the closing days before the Ras start.
